A weekend at home

So I had the opportunity to go home this weekend and it has been amazing!! I surprised my boyfriend and he had no idea and was really confused why I was at his friends house haha. While home we were able to hang out a lot, go to the beach, I got to go to a family birthday lunch, see some friends, go to Disneyland, have some good heart to hearts with people and just be back in the sunshine! I am sad that I have to leave this evening but glad that I will be back here in 3 weeks from today. Its time to focus and get really good grades on these last few tests and things coming up to finish out the term strong. I wish the weekend could have lasted longer but I am just glad that I was able to come home and see the people that I did, and do the things that I love.

So have any of you wondered what this hype of Pinterest is or what its for, or what you do etc? Well I recently caved in and created an account and I think it is awesome! So basically the idea of it is to "pin, your interests" clever i know. So basically what you do is create Boards. These boards can be titled whatever you want, and you can create as many of them as you want. Once you have these boards you can pin virtually anything to them. So say you have a board that is called "Delicious Food" and than your surfing the web and find some great looking food or deserts r anything and you want to either share it with others or even just save it so you can come back to it later. So you can "pin" that item to your board and than it will be in that board forever unless you delete it. Like most social networking you can also follow people on Pintrest. So when you pin something it shows to all of your followers and if they like it they can comment, like it, or repin it. Repining things is awesome! You can find the best things from other peoples pins. You have a feed of everyone of your followers pins and you can scroll through and find cool pictures, outfits, DIY crafts, quotes, recipes, etc etc. When you find something you really like or want to add to one of your boards you simply click repin and choose what board to pin it to and there ya go! Its now on your board! Basically this site is to find awesome things you may have never found that are out there on the internet as well as sharing them with your friends and followers. You can link it directly to Facebook or Twitter and automatically have people to follow. A lot of the original pins even come from Blogger and so it also allows you to find more cool blogs to follow! I think that if you havent tried this out you are missing out and I would recommend for everyone to try it!

Midterms...

So tonight I had my second Math midterm of this quarter. Prior to my test as I was cramming  and re-doing the practice test to make sure I knew how to do all the types of problems I was thinking man I wish I had more time, but at the same time I wish this was just over! hah I am glad to say that It is over now and I can relax! Not really, I have a quiz in one class tomorrow as well as My second Chemistry midterm on Thursday! I have been having midterms for the past mont, at least one a week! Next week a get a break and have no midterms with only one project due! I cant wait for that! Gives me just a little break to get ready for finals! My school is on the quarter system instead of semesters and it really moves a lot faster, It always seems as though you have a big test or project or something just right around the corner, even if you just finished one. However, there are some plus' to being on the quarter system like if you hate a class or a teacher, it ends a lot quicker, you get to take more classes and supposedly you can graduate faster. Anyways my point was tests suck and suck even more when your practice tests and lectures and such never have the same things as the actual test...

So I watched this movie yesterday evening and just thought I would report about it for anyone who is interested in seeing it or who has seen it. Let me start off by saying THIS IS NOT A COMEDY! I do not understand why it says "a laugh out loud comedy" and is classified as a comedy. I did not think this was a bad movie, just not the genere I wanted to see at the time. I think this movie was really heart felt and showed ones struggle through battling cancer and the hardships that come with that. It was a good movie and I would recommend it if you want a more serious and touching movie. However if you are in a fun and good mood this movie can really make you sad hah. It is always crazy when young people have such diseases especially one that kind of just comes and is not even brought on by a specific thing you are doing. Yes there is all those ideas of cell phones causing cancer and pretty much every other thing under the sun someone finds a way to link to cancer. I can first hand say that I hate cancer and have lost many people in my life due to it from my 11 year old cousin to my grandma after her fifth type of cancer. I truly hope that we are able to find the cure for cancer one day because to me it is one of the worst diseases out there.

Yay for being productive!

Today I have felt pretty productive for a Sunday! Usually most sundays I feel like I wait until night until I acknowledge the fact that I have a bunch of homework to do ir things to get done before the week starts. However, today I got up around 9 went to church, went to a study session, worked on midterm reviews and cleaned my room and have laundry going all by only mid day! I feel quite successful, lets hope this is the start to a good week! Hope everyone else is having a good Sunday and has a good week ahead!

Fire alarms!

So last night at 2:30 am someone decided to pull the fire alarm in my building.  I have never understood why people do this, Is it fun to have to sit outside in the cold at late hours of the night/early hours of the morning? Its not like they can be in the building either...I was not too bothered by this because I was jut about to go to sleep, but hadn't made it there yet. It was funny to go outside and see everyone evacuating wearing just blankets or without shoes on or no shirts etc. Once outside we had to wait for the fire department to search the whole building and make sure it was okay, as well as get everyone out who thought it was a good idea to stay inside! Did you know that it is a Felony to purposely not evacuate during a fire alarm? Obviously if you are trapped due to an actual fire than that is a different story. But this Felony also comes with a $500 charge! So next time you hear the fire alarm go off, as annoying as it is, make sure you get out!

Ocean love

You know that saying "you never know what you got til its gone" ? I am finding it to come true more and more each day. This is a picture I took when I was back home and just enjoying a typical sunset on the beach with a good friend. I have always been told I was lucky to be living where I was but I never really understood that fully until I moved from this. I miss so many things about home but the ocean is a huge part. I want to feel the warmth of the sun, ride the waves, swim with some dolphins, watch the sun disappear into the horizon, and feel the sand between my feet. I nice swim or body surfing session is always refreshing, the feeling of being in the water makes me feel so free and that I can do anything I want to. The ocean will always have a special place in my heart, and so for me i feel blessed to call this home <3
